Questions, answered
How listing works for founders, how the radar works for developers, and what happens to your data along the way.
Listing a tool
What you need to submit, how review works, and what happens after your listing goes live.
What kind of tools get listed on TeaserTrack?
Developer tools, AI frameworks, open-source projects, and SaaS products that are upcoming, in private or public beta, or launched recently. Listings that are misleading, broken, or unrelated to software are declined.
Is it free to list a tool?
Yes. A standard listing is free and stays up permanently, with its own tool page, upvotes, categories, and a place in the launch calendar. A featured launch is an optional $29 upgrade for launch week.
What do I need before I submit?
A name, a tagline of up to 160 characters, a cover image, a description, and at least one link people can act on: a waitlist, a website, or a repository. You can add up to three categories and a launch date if you have one.
How long does review take?
Every submission is read by a person, usually within a few days. If something is missing you can fix it from your dashboard and the listing goes back into the queue.
Why is my listing still waiting for approval?
Two things block approval: a description shorter than 220 characters, and having no website, waitlist, or repository link. Your dashboard lists whatever a listing is still missing.
Can I edit a listing after it is live?
Yes, from your dashboard, whenever you like. An edit sends the listing back through a quick review so the directory stays accurate.
What media should I upload with a listing?
A 16:9 cover image, and optionally a clip of up to two minutes and a square logo. Files are optimized in your browser before upload, so the cover becomes WebP at up to 1600px and video is compressed to 720p.
My launch date moved. What happens to my listing?
Change the date on the listing and the calendar follows it. A tool moves into the launched section by itself once its date arrives, so nothing needs to be done on launch day.
Someone listed my tool. Can I take it over?
Yes. Open the listing and use the claim link. Sign in with the GitHub account that owns the repository it links to and the claim is approved instantly, otherwise a person reviews it within a couple of days.
How do I get a listing removed?
Email support@teasertrack.cc from an address connected to the project and we will take it down. You can also delete your own listings from your dashboard.
Finding tools
How the radar is organised and how to spot something worth joining early.
How do I find tools before they launch?
Explore is the whole radar, searchable and filterable by category and status. The launch calendar groups every tool with a confirmed date by month, soonest first.
What do the upcoming, beta, and launched labels mean?
Upcoming means it has been announced but you cannot use it yet, beta means there is private or public access, and launched means it is out. Makers keep the status current as the tool ships.
Do I need an account to browse?
No, the whole directory is public. Signing in with GitHub or Google lets you upvote the tools you are waiting for, and each account can upvote a tool once.
How do I compare a tool against similar ones?
Every listing with enough overlap gets an alternatives page collecting the other tools that share its categories. A list appears once three listed tools sit in the same category.
Where does the GitHub section get its data?
It reads repositories created in the past month from the GitHub API and ranks them by how fast they are gaining stars. It refreshes every hour and filters by language, star count, and age.
Can I follow along by email or RSS?
Yes. The newsletter goes out every Monday with new listings, the launches coming up, and one teaser worth watching. The blog also has an RSS feed at /rss.xml.
Will every tool listed here actually launch?
Not necessarily. Listings are reviewed for accuracy, but a dated launch can slip or be cancelled, and we do not guarantee that any listed tool ships on its date or at all.
Featured launches and the badge
The optional paid placements, and the badge you can put on your own site.
What does a featured launch include?
Your listing is pinned in the trending section on the homepage, gets a Featured label, and is included in the weekly newsletter for the week of your launch.
Are featured listings reviewed?
Yes. Paid placements follow the same quality guidelines as free listings, and every paid placement is clearly labelled.
How do sponsorships work?
Sponsorships are booked monthly for category page banners and newsletter slots. Send us a message and we will share available dates and audience details.
How do I pay?
Request a featured launch or sponsorship through the contact form and we will confirm dates and send a secure payment link before anything goes live.
What is the TeaserTrack badge?
An SVG badge for your README, footer, or launch page. It links back to your listing and shows its current upvote count, and the badge page has dark and light snippets in HTML and Markdown.
Your account and your data
Signing in, what we store, and how to leave.
How do I sign in?
With GitHub or Google. There is no password to manage, and the same account works for submitting tools, upvoting, and editing your listings.
What data does TeaserTrack keep about me?
The name, email address, picture, and username from the provider you sign in with, the listings and media you submit, and the upvotes you give. Google Analytics measures page visits and never receives your account details.
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Use the link at the bottom of any issue. It takes one click, and nothing else about your account changes.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can delete your listings yourself from your dashboard, and for the account itself email support@teasertrack.cc or use the contact form and we will remove it.
